Overview
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Aspect Code, including the VS Code extension and related services. By using Aspect Code, you agree to these Terms.
Free Local Extension
The Aspect Code VS Code extension is provided free of charge for local use. You may:
- Install and use the extension on any number of machines
- Generate knowledge base and instruction files for your projects
- Modify or delete generated files as you see fit
- Use the extension for personal or commercial projects
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the extension beyond what is permitted by applicable law
- Use the extension to violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or services
Generated Files
Files generated by Aspect Code (.aspect/, CLAUDE.md, .cursor/rules/, .github/copilot-instructions.md) are created on your machine from analysis of your code. You own these generated files and can use, modify, commit, or delete them as you choose.
Open Source
Aspect Code is open source. The source code is available at github.com/asashepard/aspectcode under its respective license.
Enterprise Services
Enterprise services are governed by separate enterprise agreements. Contact us for enterprise terms.
Disclaimer
THE EXTENSION IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE THAT THE EXTENSION WILL BE ERROR-FREE, UNINTERRUPTED, OR FREE OF HARMFUL COMPONENTS.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF ASPECT CODE.
Changes
We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
